"The virtual view – in a really possible future.“ The „generation 50+“ knows the high gloss prospects of the automotive manufacturers and real estate agents since the ´80s. At that time, the imaginations of potential customers were aided by semi-transparent foils, which were placed over the picture of the car or over the drawing of a construction site. Real estate objects were advertised using architectural drawings, which were produced from smaller model worlds. But that was yesteryear. Today rendering is the magic word. In rendering, a real photo of a site is combined with an architects virtual 3-D graphic model so that a model or animation is produced that is close to reality. We have combined the rendering technology with the aerial picture technology to present a new product for the real estate and building sector! To do this we fly, for example, over the area or site to be built. The camera is then focused on the central point of the outlined construction site and it scans the „unbuilt“ site „in“ and „with“ its original surroundings. In a second step, we combine the CAD-drawing of the new construction, conforming to the scale, into the aerial shots. Thus we get a realistic replication of the whole project. Of course, this includes a 360 degree view. But what if an existing facade is to be adjusted or extensions are planned? New windows, for example are to be installed in a protected historic heritage building? How would these adjustments fit into the complete scene of the street or vicinity? Such projects can also be visualised by rendering from photos. Do you have any further ideas for application of rendering? Feel free to have a word with us!

„360 degrees views of the new construction project – ...where even the first sod has not yet been turned!“ We have combined the technology of so called renderings with our aerial photography technology to present a new product for the real estate and building sectors! To achieve this, we fly over the site or area before construction begins. The camera is focused on the centre of the outlined intended construction project and scans the „empty“ site from all sides, with and in its original environmental conditions. In a second step, we combine the aerial shots with the CAD-drawings of the architect or draughtsman, fitting to scale. Thus a realistic image of the whole project on a real and digital level is produced. 360-degree view included, of course!

AApplications and advantages

Digital picture editing with Photoshop is a widely-used instrument when it comes to integrating a planned construction into an existing photo. The technology we use goes a decisive step further. 3-D instead of 2-D! These images open the doors to new forms of presentation for the real estate sector. For example round trips around the virtual building, which can be shown realistically in its surroundings. Whether client, local building authority, or government office – you can aid the decision makers to visualise what you intend, and support their imaginative powers. But what if an existing facade has to be modified or extensions are to be made? Or if new windows are to be installed in a protected historic heritage building? How will such alterations affect the overall environmental view or how will it fit in with the street scene? And very important: How can we convince the developer, officials and conservationists that the intended adjustments will fit in harmoniously into the entire environment? Such projects can also be visualised by rendering – not only from the air but also from ground level or with a combination of both.
